IntaForensics were approached by a local police force in relation to criminal damage to a vehicle. It was believed that the suspect had been
recordings of the vehicle.
The police force requested that IntaForensics examine the suspects Mobile Telephone to ascertain whether their suspicions were correct.
The handset supplied to IntaForensics was found to have a memory card connected. An IntaForensics analyst performed a full Mobile Phone Forensic
Analysis on the exhibited Mobile Phone and SIM Card and a full Computer Forensic Analysis on the identified memory card.
No videos or images were found on the Mobile Phone or live on the memory card; however following an analysis of the unallocated clusters (area of the
memory card which does not contain live data but may have previously contained live data) 5 videos were located and successfully extracted.
2 of these 5 videos were found to be videos showing vehicles that had been recently criminally damages; these also contained footage of the suspect
performing the act.
The evidence supplied by IntaForensics allowed the Police Force to arrest and prosecute the suspect.
