Some cases require immediate action.
IntaForensics offers a 24/7, 365
days a year emergency call out service. This provides peace of mind by
knowing that an experienced and qualified Forensic Analyst will always
be available to offer advice and discuss your options.
To preserve your digital evidence please
follow our recommended instructions:
DO Call IntaForensics in the First instance
DO Secure and seal the system in a locked cupboard
DO Make detailed notes on activities
DO NOT be tempted to let your own IT department "have a look"
DO NOT switch the computer on if possible. Every time a computer is switched on data can be changed.
List
all possible users of the computer and any other information you may
have, however remember that they may have to be
surrendered to the other side at some point if the case progresses to
court or tribunal.
IntaForensics
can provide additional advice over the telephone or attend 24/7 in an
emergency. The investigation can be
open or covert depending on your circumstances. Discretion and
confidentiality is assured
with an experienced and fully trained Forensic Analyst.
It
is very tempting to ask for internal technical help to substantiate
your suspicions or before incurring any costs
associated with retaining external help however, unless your IT
department has the specialist forensic tools and experience
based on ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) guidelines, the
risk is that they could damage the evidence
and render it useless in a Court of Law or at an Employment Tribunal.
