Jeff Bennison joins IntaForensics following a successful career spanning over 18 years working across a wide range of information security topics. Since leaving the Royal Air Force in late 2000, Jeff has worked in various sectors including charity, defence/aerospace, financial and a number of consultancy roles giving him a great ability to advise clients with real world knowledge and understandable solutions.
During his time with a credit reference agency he created, implemented and managed a successful PCI DSS compliance project whilst assisting in the management of the company-wide ISO 27001 program. This involved dealing with various external auditors, scheduling audit activity and educating internal staff.
I am delighted to welcome Jeff to the IntaForensics team and it is clearly evident that his extensive skill set is enriched by his substantial experience of providing consultative support to a wide range of clients. This expertise is further enhanced by Jeff having worked on ‘both sides of the fence’, enabling him to deliver pragmatic, economic and compliant working solutions. Jeff is an expert at ensuring the full ‘beginning to end’ compliance journey is as pain free as possible.

Jeff has been a PCI DSS Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) since September 2010 and has worked with clients large and small to guide them through their compliance journey. He has worked in sectors that include financial, charity, hospitality, card issuing, retail, football clubs and manufacturing to name a few. Bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the IntaForensics team, Jeff also provides consultancy on ISO 27001 and ISO 22301. Jeff has a particular skill in taking clients from a “rabbit in the headlights” stage where little or no knowledge is present, all the way through to the client having the confidence and knowledge in owning the security system and being able to manage and improve it going forward.
I have taken clients and companies I have worked with from no ISO 27001 alignment through to an audit ready state. Engagements have included document creation and distribution, staff awareness sessions, risk assessments and asset identification to name but a few. In terms of PCI/DSS QSA projects, the strength clients seem to like is the fact I’ve sat where they are and know the challenges. Once they understand I’ve been through it, they seem to open up more and engage better. My aim is to make the compliance journey as smooth as possible using a deep knowledge gained over many years from both sides of the fence.
