ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation Support

14 May 2019

Do you need support to achieve your ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation?

The recently released House of Lords Science and Technology Select Committee report “Forensic science and the criminal justice system: a blueprint for change” did not paint a particularly positive picture of the current state of forensic science in England and wales.

Amongst their conclusions and recommendations, the Committee stated, “We see a clear benefit in ensuring that most forensic science providers are accredited to the appropriate ISO standards.  The Forensic Science Regulator should review the current regulation framework and make any necessary changes to ensure that it promotes good practice. (Paragraph 91)”

As an organisation who achieved accreditation to ISO 17025 in early 2016 and has progressed with several extensions to scope since that time, we have substantial experience in achieving, maintaining and extending ISO 17025 accreditation.

Whether you are just setting out on your accreditation journey and implementing a management system for the first time, perhaps you’ve made some progress but find yourself stumbling due to competing priorities or you simply need some expert advice, support and guidance, call today and speak to us.  We will provide impartial, constructive and detailed information that can complement your existing accreditation projects, saving you time, expense and frustration.

Remember, ISO 17025:2017 offers management system options; laboratories seen to maintain a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001, can utilise this sound basis to grow further and establish robust processes that fulfil the requirements of ISO 17025.  The implementation of ISO 9001 and the adoption of a quality management system alone can improve the performance and development of an organisation and if this is something that interests you, call today and speak to our experts.
