October 2016 – Intaforensics awarded 5* Lab Approved!
October marks a wonderful milestone for our Lima Forensic Case Management software. It has yet again been awarded a highly respectable ‘’Lab Approved’’ status with a five-star review for the second year running!
Since 2013, Intaforensics have had Lima tested by SC Magazine and feedback has always been well received and their judgement is something we value completely.
We are extremely proud of our development team and through their hard work and dedication our case management system has been described as ‘’a must-have for any digital forensic lab.’’

First released in 2009, Lima has excelled over the years and has reached a phenomenal standard. Our software is independently evaluated by the team at the Centre for Advanced Computing and Digital Forensics at Norwich University in Vermont, USA. The SC Magazine awards are rigorously conducted over an extended period in the Centre’s laboratories by a team of reviewers under the supervision of Dr Peter Stephenson. We have a great sense of pride that our software is evaluated by this particular body and work on their feedback year on year.
The rating breakdown covers a variety of factors and to receive 5 stars is an achievement we have received with great accomplishment. Below is the feedback we received:
Strengths – Solid case management and record keeping tool with everything you will need to manage a full lab, a law enforcement digital forensics facility or a small practice.
Weaknesses – None that we found.
Verdict – Case management is a task that digital investigators tend to relegate to spreadsheets or whatever notebooks they can find. Something far more rigorous is needed and this is t. Again this year, we make Lima SC Lab Approved.
