The purpose of this document is to provide information and guidance that will assist with the initial ISO 17025 accreditation process, and also highlight requirements for the maintenance of accreditation and future extensions to scope. This guide aims to describe each stage of the accreditation process from initial preparation, including the production of quality documentation, the application process and assessment visits, through to understanding key requirements of the standard, achieving the grant of accreditation and maintaining that status for the full term of the certificate of accreditation.
