Cyber Safe Charities 2019

24 April 2019

Supporting charities towards greater Cyber Security

Sadly, the very charities which play such a large part in our society are increasingly becoming targets, and victims, of cyber-crime. To help strengthen the third sector’s resilience against cyber-threats, IntaForensics along with IASME, together are embarking on a week-long campaign with a specific focus on this sector and helping their cyber security needs.

Between 29 April-3 May 2019, registered charities will be able to apply for discounted Cyber Essentials and IASME Governance certifications.

Cyber Essentials is a government backed certification scheme. It focuses on the five most important technical controls identified by government as those that, if they had been in place, would have stopped the majority of successful attacks over recent years.

The IASME Consortium and IntaForensics will be offering the Cyber Essentials self-assessments at £225 + vat as opposed to the usual £300 + vat.*

IASME Governance certification includes and builds on the Cyber Essentials controls by requiring additional governance measures. This standard brings in aspects such as physical security, an understanding of risk, staff training and business continuity planning. The IASME Governance standard is written along similar lines to the information security management standard, ISO 27001, yet is more practical for SMEs. Certification to this standard can demonstrate alignment Charities will also be able to use this certification to demonstrate alignment to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPRs) requirements, included in IASME Governance standard.

During this campaign week, IASME Governance will be available to registered charities for £250 + vat as opposed to the usual £400 + vat.*

Charities wishing to take advantage of this promotion can apply from 29 April 2019 by contacting IntaForensics on +44 (0)24 777 17780 or clicking on the button at the bottom of the page to apply for an assessment.
