In addition to the above, IntaForensics have also received accreditation to the Forensic Science Regulator’s Code of Practice and Conduct. Version 3.0 February 2016.
Andrew Frowen, CEO writes “This is a terrific achievement. IntaForensics is wholly committed to delivering the highest quality of customer service in full compliance with ISO 17025 and the FSR Codes of Practice and Conduct. We embrace the many benefits that arise out of accreditation and are focused on improving the operation of the company which will add value to all IntaForensics clients and that of the wider Criminal Justice System. I am grateful for the level of support the company has received in its recent restructure and endeavours to widen its scope of accredited services from our law enforcement, government clients and forensic partners, this has been a significant achievement during a backdrop of difficult trading conditions for both service providers and our clients alike”
IntaForensics are proud to be the first UK organisation in the forensic science sector, to achieve accreditation for mobile device analysis activities in addition to data capture and preservation. At the time of writing, the company are the only organisation within the United Kingdom in terms of ISO 17025:2005 scope currently accredited to provide end-to-end mobile device forensic examinations.
This latest accreditation scope increase follows months of focused teamwork and justly rewards a magnificent effort by all staff members. It was accomplished alongside a major restructuring project which also saw the company revert to a single-site operation designed to focus on providing exceptional service delivery and control within the accredited environment.
IntaForensics Quality Manager, Kay Murfin commented, “I’m absolutely thrilled with the success of our recent extensions to scope; this has been a substantial project of work, which has required the engagement of all members of staff and I’m very proud of everyone for their efforts. It’s great to see individuals working within the management system, identifying queries and suggesting improvements; quality is the norm and this is the way we work. We are now on the journey to transition to the new versions of both ISO 17025 and the FSR Codes of Practice and Conduct. I would like to thank the hard work of the assessment management team at UKAS”
This accreditation comes at a time when the delivery of digital forensic services is receiving increased and widespread media coverage and whilst the Forensic Science Regulator Bill is passing through Parliament with the second reading of the bill scheduled for later in the month. Upon enactment of this Bill, the Regulator will have a statutory footing upon which to conduct investigations and issue compliance notices against any person who may be carrying on a forensic science activity to which the code applies in a way that creates a substantial risk of adversely affecting any investigation, or impeding or prejudicing the course of justice in any proceedings.
Damian Walton, Director of Professional Services said, “I have been heavily involved with this ongoing project and I have witnessed at first hand the amount of dedication, teamwork and effort that all members of the IntaForensics team have contributed to make this such a great achievement. I am also very satisfied to know that the organisation appreciates the significance and importance of accreditation and look forward to continual improvement of our accredited activities. Our ability to deliver fully accredited ‘cradle to grave’ mobile device forensic services makes us stand out in the market place.”
