The world of digital forensics is continually developing and the requirement for specialist investigations evolves to meet the increasing demands of our clients, be that the Criminal Justice System, the corporate world or private individuals.

The reported use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or drones in connection with criminal activity has increased substantially over the past couple of years with media coverage of severe flight interruptions at major international airports and the regular supply of illicit payloads, i.e. firearms and drugs into prison establishments.

This is another magnificent achievement in our continued progression to ensure our methods and processes are independently assessed against the robust and rigorous standards of ISO 17025. It has been a superb team effort that rightly received fantastic feedback from the UKAS assessors and demonstrates the importance that IntaForensics places upon delivering high-quality, accredited digital forensic services to our clients. – Damian Walton – Chief Security Officer

Under IntaForensics’ programme of ISO 17025 development, we are delighted to have received a recommendation for an extension to our existing scope of accreditation for the Capture and Preservation of data from drone devices. The formal grant of this ETS is subject to the satisfactory close-out of a small number of findings raised during the assessment. This achievement is made more notable by the fact that at this time, IntaForensics will be the only UK digital forensic provider accredited with this specific activity on our scope.

This is a further example of IntaForensics’ commitment to the ISO 17025 accreditation process and a clear demonstration of the company’s drive to ensure that new and emerging digital forensic requirements are subject to the same rigorous validation processes.

This latest project was led by IntaForensics’ Quality Manager, Kay Murfin who oversaw detailed validation activity conducted by forensic analyst Ahzim Mir with fantastic support provided by Richard Wilkinson, one of IntaForensics Quality Technicians.
