IntaForensics Welcomes Jay Lucas and Tom Harley

30 October 2019

As a direct result of the incredible success of our Radio Frequency Propagation Survey (otherwise known as Cell Site Analysis) services and to meet demand for high-quality cyber security and incident response  engagements, IntaForensics are delighted to increase our current capability and welcome two new specialists to the company.

Jay Lucas and Tom Harley both join IntaForensics from Leicestershire Police where they previously worked closely together as Digital Media Investigators, involved in the investigation of major incidents and serious and organised crime.

In addition to being a qualified RFPS technician, Jay is also experienced in the use of Advanced Open Source capture techniques, digital subject profiling and in mobile, computer, router and network based forensic examinations.

During his 16 years of police service, he received numerous commendations and was the winner of the 2019 International Digital Investigation and Intelligence Award for “Exceptional Development or Use of Advanced Digital Forensic Techniques.” Recently achieving the EC-Council Certified Ethical Hackers certification and approaching the end of studying for a MSc. in Advanced Security and Digital Forensics, focusing on penetration testing, live data and network forensics, Jay will be leading IntaForensics penetration testing service delivery.

Tom’s specialism is as a RFPS technician conducting Wi-Fi and cellular surveys, cell site and call data analysis, geo-location, evidential mapping and reporting, presenting technical and cell site (RF) evidence as a specialist witness at Crown Court.  He was a founding member of the Leicestershire Police Digital Media Investigation Unit with the responsibility of developing router examination and Wi-Fi standard operating procedures and leading the introduction of router, Wi-Fi and associated network data into evidence on behalf of the force.  As a leading DMI he was responsible for online and digital investigation strategies, tactical advice and digital risk management specifically relating to the identification and recovery of best evidence from digital sources previously overlooked.  He has extensive experience as the lead DMI and digital tactical advisor on multiple high profile serious and major crime investigations as well as missing person and dynamic life at risk incidents.

The acquisition of Jay and Tom as the latest additions to the increasing number of cyber specialists at IntaForensics is a tremendous coup.  They are both recognised experts in their fields and their arrival will significantly enhance our growing capability and service delivery offerings.  We are delighted that Jay and Tom both decided that IntaForensics offered exactly what they were looking for and will open up exciting opportunities for them.
