IntaForensics is delighted to welcome Mark Bird to their team of cyber security consultants and incident response specialists. Mark joins us following an exemplary 17-year career with West Midlands Police and West Midlands Regional Cyber Crime Unit.
As an experienced Detective, Mark dealt with a wide array of serious and complex crime investigations and in October 2014 he moved to the newly created West Midlands Regional Cyber Crime Unit as one of only a handful of investigators of international cyber crime in UK law enforcement. Subsequently he drew on his high levels of experience to supervise the unit until leaving the Police in April 2019 to join the Cyber Security team at IntaForensics.
Whilst on the unit, Mark investigated some of the most complex and high-profile cyber crimes to have been prosecuted in the UK, resulting in the convictions of a number of offenders. Ā He also led international investigations, working closely with Europol and overseas law enforcement agencies to combat organised crime groups committing global cyber crime.
During his time with the Cyber Crime Unit, Mark successfully achieved numerous qualifications including the EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) certification and completed advanced Incident Response and Threat Hunting courses including the SANS FOR508 course.
I am confident that Mark will be a great asset to the Cyber Security team at IntaForensics, Mark comes to us with a great deal of investigative experience and a passion for information security, he will be a confident pair of hands for our wider client base.
