Role Overview:

We are an ambitious company in a period of growth and would like the best candidates to join us on our journey. We are looking for a motivated self-starter with experience of business development within the cyber security industry to drive substantial new business revenue into the Cyber Division.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the creation of new sales channels (75%) and development of existing client relationships (25%) for our cyber services, including incident response, penetration testing, managed security services and PCI SSC-related consultancy offerings.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate increased revenue for the Cyber Division through new business and business development, in line with company objectives
  • Generate leads for Cyber and associated departments through sales calls and email campaigns to drive revenue and increase profitability.
  • Research and identify organisations and clients for new business opportunities, including new markets and growth areas
  • Proactively create and maintain databases of prospects and opportunities
  • Contact potential clients to establish rapport and arrange calls/meetings
  • Identify trends, create partnerships and develop innovative ways of reaching existing markets
  • Increase the value of existing customers through fostering and developing relationships
  • Understand the needs of clients and be able to respond effectively by applying features and benefits as appropriate
  • Arranging and/or attending client visits
  • Develop strategies to re-engage lapsed clients
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team to produce effective content ideas and strategies
  • Daily account management and customer care
  • Identifying and attending appropriate conferences, networking and industry events



  • Demonstratable experience of business development within the cyber security industry
  • Good knowledge of LinkedIn and social channels
  • Experience of working with and ability to adopt new CRM software
  • Strategic and commercially astute
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • IT proficient in MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Excellent telephone manner and confident on the telephone
  • Ability to manage projects and multi-task
  • Pro-active, focused and self-disciplined
