Building on the success of Forensic Access in the traditional forensic disciplines, we have recently acquired the digital forensics and cyber security specialists IntaForensics, and the forensic ecology, archaeology and training specialists Alecto Forensics.

THE ROLE:

An exciting position has become available for a full-time IT Support Engineer based in Nuneaton. The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week and will earn up to £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience) and will be required for infrequent travel between the Nuneaton and other offices. You will be working in a small team of five, and so be able to work equally well under your own steam and with other team members.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Tend to the IT support desk
  • IT Hardware installation & configuration
  • Server & network equipment configuration and administration
  • Update & manage anti-virus, security and software patching products
  • Installation and configuration of printers
  • Ability to provide advice & guidance to users ensuring policies & procedures are adhered to
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve PC & server faults
  • Support for MS Office Applications & Windows
  • General IT support for the business
  • Day-to-day supervision and mentoring of junior colleagues

ANY PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

  • Microsoft Windows 10 (Professional) installation and configuration (Essential)
  • Microsoft Server 2012/2016/2019 (Essential)
  • Virtualisation (Hyper-V / VMware)
  • Microsoft Office 365 / Azure (Essential)
  • Microsoft Active Directory (Essential)
  • PFSense Firewall and LAN switching administration (Desirable)
  • Procedure and documentation development

ANY PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE:

  • Active Directory (managing user accounts within AD and Troubleshooting)
  • Microsoft Windows 10 (Professional) installation and configuration (Essential)
  • Group Policies (Troubleshooting, Setup)
  • Dynamics 365 (Desirable)
  • Exchange Online (management of user accounts, Troubleshooting and maintenance)
  • Microsoft Desktop and Server Operating systems and Applications (support)
  • LAN and WAN technologies including, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, IP Addressing, VPN, switching, routing, wired and wireless access (a basic networking understanding)
  • Microsoft MCSA(MCP) (Desirable), Cisco CCNA (Desirable)

ANY PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent understanding of IT and Network Technology
  • At least 2-3 years current commercial experience in a similar role
  • Full UK driving license and own transport
  • Microsoft Server 2012/2016/2019 (Essential)
  • Virtualisation (Hyper-V / VMware)
  • Microsoft Office 365 / Azure (Essential)
  • Microsoft Active Directory (Essential)
  • PFSense Firewall and LAN switching administration (Desirable)
  • Procedure and documentation development

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

Due to the nature of the role and our work, applicants will be required to be DBS checked and also NPPV-3, SC Cleared, National Crime Agency and Metropolitan Police security vetted, therefore all applicants must be currently and permanently resident in the UK and have been continuously for at least 5 years. Any cautions, convictions or financial issues will result in SC Clearance being denied.
