Lima Lite – Great Software on Free License

31 March 2015

In Association with the High Tech Crime Investigation Association

Supporting the professionalisation of digital forensics around the world, IntaForensics announced today that they will be providing free licenses of the leading software package Lima Lite to any members of the HTCIA who request the software. The free licenses will be renewable annually but will remain free.

“We are keen to support smaller law enforcement agencies, helping them make the most of their limited resources by providing this version of our award winning system for zero cost” said James Borkoles, IntaForensics Commercial Director. “This gesture will help small departments work more efficiently, track evidence and keep information about their investigations in line with international best practice”.

The product is part of a large and growing range of case managemen software from the UK software publisher and digital forensics expert company. The software is unique because it is built with the needs of digital forensics professionals in mind, designed and tested within a live working laboratory environment.

2015 is a big year fo our software – we are releasing several key components of our growing laboratory and case management solutions this year, including:

Lima OnScene – mobile device apps for iOS, Android, Blackberry and WinPhone operating systems to enable investigators to take notes and manage custody of exhibits (May 2015)

Browser based Management Console – to enable Lima users to publish performance and management information via a web-browser internally – a useful feature for high profile units (July 2015)

Lima 2.0 – a major upgrade of interface for the Lima system which will provide a more aesthetically pleasing experience, better graphical controls and charting, and several functional improvements

“Our solutions will continue to drive forward best practice in digital forensics case and laboratory management during 2015 and 2016. We have major plans for the future” states Andrew Frowen, Managing Director of IntaForensics.
