Lima – the global leader in digital forensic case and laboratory management system software – is proud to announce additional features to our software solution in Lima V1.8. As evidenced in our SC Magazine “Best Buy” award 2013 and the “Recommended” award 2014, the development team are committed to continued development of the entire Lima Product Suite, and Version 1.8 is no different.
The October 2014 release of Lima 1.8 incorporates a number of features and bug fixes:
The case package process has been re-developed using an SQLite database storage file, this provides a more consistent and reliable format when importing/exporting.
Staff Access changes are now recorded with a new Staff Access Audit Log.
A large number of time fields throughout the system now store UTC offset values, this enabled organisations with multiple install sites to correctly record times relating to their local timezone.
Cases Time Overview now includes an “Additional Hours” factor, which is based on timeline entries set to the “Additional Hours” process types.
Mobile Phone imaging forms now contain fields for “Includes SIM” and “Includes Memory Card”.
Changes to exhibit re-seal number are now tracked in a log table.
Exhibit details now contain a field to specific a positive or negative processing result.
Case logs and timeline entries can now be filtered by exhibit when printing or reporting.
New exhibit type for “DVR” which uses the same pre-imaging and imaging fields as “Video Camera”.
Ability to add multiple attachments to both collection and dispatch entries, as opposed to limiting to single attachment.
Saving a case with a closed type status will now alert the user if it hasn’t been “assigned to invoicing” (Sales module only).
Added support for importing TD3 imaging report files for exhibit imaging details.
Custom case user fields now support a date type field.
Knowledge Base entries now display the user who last updated an entry, as opposed to only showing the last update date and time.
The cases results grid in the search module now contains a column for “Operation Name”.
Bug fix that was preventing certain fields from working when exporting task results in the search module.
Minor bug fixes to the formatting of case reports.
