ART  (Automatic Reporting Tool) by IntaForensics is a software application developed for the purpose of assisting Mobile Phone Forensic examiners to capture images (via a USB camera) of mobile devices and subsequently produce a Microsoft Word document.

ART provides the following main functions:

• Dramatically reduces time spent in reporting manual examinations
• Capture images from a USB attached camera
• Store images in a logical folder structure, reflecting that of the structure of the device
• Create a customisable report containing all captured images

ART requirements:

• Microsoft Word installed for the generation of a device report
• USB Camera with Microsoft Windows Driver installed

ART allows for the management of multiple cases containing multiple exhibits. These cases can be accessed at any time so to allow the capture of additional images or to generate further reports.

Information regarding a device can be recorded against each exhibit. This information is displayed on the information page of the generated report. ART has been developed to be time saving application that is all encompassing and therefore contains built in software for capturing images through USB connected cameras. The software has been developed to support devices using the standard Microsoft imaging device drivers. Alternatively ART is able to use images that are captured using an external camera. If the built in camera function is utilised all images are captured to a folder reflecting the location of the object being photographed for easy reference and report generation. ART has been designed to allow basic formatting of the report prior to generation; this includes both the document and section header information.
